Disney's live-action 'Aladdin' has cast its magic on the North American box-office, earning an estimated $105 million in its opening weekend.
Guy Ritchie's take on the 1992 movie surpassed earlier estimates of about $80 million, and is said to end its global box-office register at an estimated $265 million.
John Wick: Chapter 3 in its second weekend finished in second place with $31 million.
Aladdin, which stars Will Smith, Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud, is the sixth-highest Memorial Day weekend total ever, passing 2011's The Hangover Part II ($103.4 million).
Disney now holds the top three domestic openings of the year, as Aladdin joins Captain Marvel ($153.4 million) and Avengers: Endgame ($357.1 million).
