Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi opened its latest expansion to the public on Saturday, adding 11 rides and attractions to the park.
The update includes eight new slides, two jumping platforms and a leisure pool, bringing the total number of attractions at the park to more than 70.
Among the new additions is Matamir’s Drop, billed as the UAE’s tallest waterslide, standing at over 40 metres. Other rides include racing slides, body slides and a duelling mat racer.
The expansion also introduces more relaxed options, including a new pool area for families.
Yas Waterworld, which opened in 2013 on Yas Island, is one of the region’s largest waterparks and has received multiple industry awards.
