In Puerto Rico, Governor Ricardo Rossello has vowed he will stay in office despite growing protests calling for him to step down.

Clashes turned violent Tuesday night, resulting in 21 casualties and police firing tear gas into the crowd.

Protests have been growing over the past week, since almost 900 pages of the governor's controversial messages were leaked to the media.

In the same week, the FBI arrested two former officials in Rossello's government as part of federal corruption investigations.
