Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport resumes limited passenger flights

Authorities in Abu Dhabi have announced the resumption of limited passenger flights from Zayed International Airport after a period of disruption due to the ongoing regional developments.

It follows direct coordination with the Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Center - Abu Dhabi (ADCMC).

According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, over the past few days approximately 7,000 passengers were accommodated in more than 4,300 hotel rooms across 74 hotels for free.

It comes after Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism had announced its decision to cover all additional accommodation costs for travellers forced to extend their stay in the Emirate due to flight disruptions.

Joint efforts with relevant authorities across the emirate also facilitated a seamless support network, including shuttle services, refreshments, hospitality, medical care and retail vouchers to support passenger wellbeing during this transition.

The authority urged passengers to travel to the airport only after receiving specific guidance on when to arrive at AUH for departure from their airlines.
