Abu Dhabi cracks down on abandoned vehicles

Make sure that you don’t leave your cars unattended for lengthy periods or abandon them in public areas.

That’s the message from authorities in Abu Dhabi who have warned of strict action against motorists who abandon their vehicles.

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has identified many cars that have been left unattended for more than a month in Abu Dhabi city's multi-storey parking buildings and in Musaffah parking lot M18.

It has called on the owners of such vehicles to contact the parking administration department to update their vehicle data and pay any outstanding fees.

Violators could face legal action, including having their vehicles sold at auction.
