Cooling operations underway after fire at Sharjah warehouse

Civil defence teams in Sharjah have begun cooling operations after bringing under control a fire that broke out at a clothing warehouse in Sharjah Industrial Area 10 on Monday afternoon.

In an update posted on social media, the Sharjah Government Media Bureau said initial investigations indicated the fire was caused by sparks from welding work, which ignited flammable materials.

Officials confirmed the fire was contained before it could spread to nearby facilities and there no injuries.

Earlier, Sharjah Media said specialised teams were working to control the fire after receiving an alert at 12:51 p.m.

Authorities urged the public to obtain information from official sources.
