Dubai’s private schools have made significant improvements, but have a long way to go. That’s one of the results of the newly released Interesting Cities Report, which looked at the changes made by five global cities in their educational sector. Those cities included Rio de Janeiro, London, Ho Chi Minh, New York and Dubai. The study cites positive effects brought about by the Dubai School Inspection Bureau, which is under the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. The emirate has 17 types of curricula, each one performing differently. The director general of the KHDA, Dr. Abdullah Al Karam says that diversity in educational systems is an advantage, not a challenge.
