Authorities in Sharjah said on Monday they were dealing with an incident involving a drone strike on a Thuraya Telecommunications Company facility, with no injuries reported.
Officials said the administrative building in the emirate’s Central Region was targeted by a drone originating from Iran.
They said updates would be provided as more information becomes available, urged the public not to spread rumours and to rely only on official sources.
The incident comes as the UAE continuing to respond to missile and drone threats, most of which have been intercepted by air defence systems in recent weeks.
