Dubai authorities extinguish oil tanker fire after drone attack

Response teams have successfully extinguished the fire that broke out after a drone targeted a Kuwaiti oil tanker in Dubai's waters on Tuesday.

In their latest update, the authorities shared that no oil leakage was discovered at the site as the fire was contained. 

Officials confirmed the incident took place at Anchorage “E”, with no injuries reported and the safety of all 24 crew secured.

An update was also shared after maritime firefighting teams had been working to bring the fire under control in line with established safety procedures. 

The Dubai Media Office added that the relevant teams will continue to assess the situation, with updates to be shared once available.
