Dubai Municipality has rolled out the 'City Inspector' initiative aimed at standardising and enhancing municipal inspection services.
In its first phase, 63 Emirati inspectors have been certified across 14 technical fields, streamlining processes and improving service quality.
The programme introduces a professional diploma for inspectors and sets clear standards covering areas like health and food safety, construction, waste management and public facility supervision.
Certified inspectors will carry out regular, complaint-based and visual inspections — reducing duplication and streamlining procedures to better serve the community.
The initiative also introduces structural reforms, including judicial authority status for inspectors, risk-based checklists, and smart technologies to improve inspection outcomes.
