Dubai Police returns lost bag with silver bars worth AED 2 million

Dubai Police

The General Department of Airport Security at Dubai Police has successfully returned a handbag containing silver bars valued at approximately AED 2 million to a passenger, following intensive efforts by the authority at DXB's Terminal 1.

Colonel Abdullah Faisal Al Dosari, Director of the Terminal 1 Security Department, explained that a foot patrol officer was conducting a routine security sweep in the departure hall when an Asian passenger reported losing a black handbag before boarding his flight.

The authority's operations room took immediate action, tracing the passenger's movement and deploying a search team of patrol officers across the airport.

After locating the bag, the authority found that it contained the silver bars, which were returned to the passenger after confirming the ownership documents and the necessary legal procedures.

The owner expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Dubai Police, commending their swift response and the professionalism of the teams at the General Department of Airport Security.
