As many as 20,000 students from eight national universities will be trained in digital skills as part of the newly launched National Programme for Coders.
The initiative will also set up three digital libraries in collaboration with Amazon, Huawei, and IBM.
Universities that have signed up for this programme are Zayed University, Khalifa University, University of Dubai, Abu Dhabi University, University of Sharjah (UoS), Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), American University in Dubai (AUD) and the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT).
This is the first phase of Programme knowledge partnerships launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to support coding talent in the UAE.
