The Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize has helped to unearth thousands of stories of heroes who have "transformed young people's lives".
That's according to actor Hugh Jackman, who has revealed the ten teachers who have been chosen from more than 10,000 nominations for the 2019 final in Dubai.
The Hollywood icon praised His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for the way the prize has grown under his patronage.
