Yemeni military officials have announced a large-scale operation to liberate the province of Taiz from Houthi rebels. This comes as the Saudi-led Arab coalition mobilised military reinforcements to Taiz. These reinforcements will support the mission to liberate the city and port of Mokha from Houthi rebels and forces loyal to deposed president Ali Abdullah Saleh. Yemeni security sources said that tribes loyal to the government in Lahij launched an attack on Houthi rebels from several fronts, with 10 rebels killed overnight.
