It’s now a lot easier for Dubai residents and tourists to report cybercrime offences.
Dubai Police have linked their e-crime platform to their smartphone application to help victims of online hacking and identity theft.
Complaints can be submitted within minutes, without the need to make a phone call or visit a police station.
It also helps users recover their social media accounts.
The app is an extension of their e-crime website, which has handled more than 14,000 requests since going live last year.
The service can be accessed in seven different languages and even features a virtual assistant called ‘Amna’.
