The United Arab Emirates has announced the closure of its embassy in Tehran and the withdrawal of its ambassador and all diplomatic staff, following Iranian missile attacks on UAE territory.
The strikes targeted civilian areas, including residential neighborhoods, airports, ports and service facilities, putting innocent civilians at risk.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attacks as a serious violation of national sovereignty and a breach of international law. The ministry said the move reflects the UAE’s firm stance against any aggression affecting its security and sovereignty.
The ministry also warned that Iran’s continued provocative actions threaten regional and international security, energy stability and the global economy.
