The UAE and Cyprus have reaffirmed their joint commitment to delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza through the Amalthea Maritime Corridor.
In a statement, both nations said the initiative is guided by humanitarian principles and aims to provide life-saving assistance to Palestinian civilians amid the ongoing crisis.
Since its activation in March 2024, the corridor has enabled the shipment of 1,200 tonnes of aid — mainly food and baby nutrition — via Ashdod Port, with support from UN agencies and partners like the World Central Kitchen.
Funded by the UAE through the Amalthea Fund, the corridor complements global efforts to ensure safe and sustained aid delivery by land, air and sea.
Both sides pledged continued cooperation with international partners to expand access to humanitarian relief across Gaza.
