UAE future leaders take part in Gaza aid operations in Egypt

WAM

Members of the UAE's Future Leaders Empowerment Programme have taken part in humanitarian operations supporting Palestinians in Gaza during a field programme in the Egyptian city of Al Arish.

The delegation worked at the UAE humanitarian aid logistics centre, helping prepare and pack aid trucks before they were transported towards the Rafah Crossing as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.

Members also visited the UAE Floating Hospital, where they were briefed on treatment being provided to Palestinian patients and injured people. They distributed meals and opened a library for patients undergoing treatment at the facility.

The programme included visits to UAE desalination plants supporting water supplies for Palestinians in Gaza and to the Rafah Crossing, where the delegation was shown how humanitarian aid is transported into the territory.

The Future Leaders Empowerment Programme is designed to give participants practical experience of humanitarian work and the different stages involved in delivering relief operations.
