Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Tom Berendsen on Wednesday.
They discussed developments in the region, the serious repercussions of the Iranian missile attacks that targeted the UAE and their impact on regional and international security and stability, as well as on international navigation security, energy supplies and the global economy.
Minister Berendsen reiterated his country’s solidarity with the UAE in taking all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, preserve its security and territorial integrity, and ensure the safety of its citizens, residents and visitors.
The two sides also reviewed the latest regional developments, particularly regarding the recent ceasefire announcement between the United States and Iran, and discussed the importance of strengthening international efforts aimed at consolidating security, stability and peace in the region.
Sheikh Abdullah and Minister Berendsen also discussed ways to develop and expand their horizons in various sectors, in order to achieve mutual interests.
