UAE offers condolences over Qatar helicopter crash

The UAE, on Sunday, expressed its solidarity and deepest condolences to Qatar and Türkiye following the deaths of seven people in a helicopter crash in Qatari territorial waters.

The crash occurred due to a technical malfunction during a routine mission.

Four of those killed were Qatari armed forces personnel, one was from the Qatar-Türkiye joint forces and two were technicians, the Turkish and Qatari defence ministries said.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its deepest condolences to the families of the Qatari Armed Forces and joint Qatari-Turkish forces members who lost their lives, as well as to the government and people of Qatar and the Turkish government and people, on the tragic loss.
