The UAE has ordered two surveillance aircraft from defence and security firm Saab at the ongoing Dubai Airshow. The order for the Saab Global 6000 jets, worth $1.27 billion (AED4.66 billion), is aimed at enhancing the country’s air surveillance capabilities. The delivery date hasn’t been finalised but could be within two years. Officials also announced plans to upgrade two of the emirates’ Saab 340s.
