The UAE has announced on Thursday that its defence systems are responding to missile and drone threats from Iran.
In a post on X, the Ministry of Defence noted that the sounds heard are due to successful interceptions of the attacks.

An alert was previously shared with the public at 8:11 am, with a second all-clear alert later sent out to the community that the situation is safe, and activities can resume with precaution.
The public is advised to remain in a safe location and follow official channels for updates.
