UAE strongly condemns school shooting in Canada

The UAE has strongly condemned the shooting at a school in western Canada that left 10 dead, including the attacker.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reiterated the UAE’s strong rejection of such criminal acts aimed at undermining security and stability.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and to the government, and wished the 27 injured a speedy recovery.

Six people were found dead inside a high school in the town of Tumbler Ridge in British Columbia, two more people were found dead at a residence believed to be connected to the incident, and another person died on the way to hospital, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said.

Police released almost no details about the shooter except to say the person was a female.
