WAM

A major disinfection drive has been launched in shopping centres across the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

As many as 31 malls are being sanitised as part of the campaign, which also covers Al Ain and Al Dhafra.

The operations are being carried out by a team of more than 200 engineers, technicians and cleaners deployed by the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre (Tadweer).

They are working in close collaboration with the Department of Municipalities and Transport.

The disinfection work covers both indoor and outdoor areas as well as parking lots, prayer rooms, elevators and all other facilities and assets used by the public.

It falls within the framework of the National Disinfection Programme which is currently underway across the UAE.
