The world's first hydrogen-powered flying boat is set to be built and launched in Dubai.
It comes after Swiss-based start-up THE JET ZeroEmission inked a deal with UAE-based Zenith Marine Services and DWYN.
Featuring an iconic design, the Jet will feature cutting-edge technology, making it capable of flying in silence over the waters at a cruising speed of 40 knots.
Equipped with two fuel cells, the boat will have a capacity of 8 to 12 passengers. It will also have an air conditioner as well as other environmentally friendly innovations that help reduce carbon emissions.
THE JET’s’ fuel cell technology will be delivered in Dubai for a historic inaugural flight during the next COP28 UAE preparatory meetings, being held in November 2023.
