Football stadiums in the UAE are now allowed to operate at an increased capacity of 80 per cent.
The Football Association's latest directive applies to various local and international competitions, including beach soccer tournaments and Futsal events.
The decision to increase the crowd capacity from the previous 60 per cent was made in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA).
Entry will only be allowed to those aged 16 and above, whose Alhosn app shows that they have received either a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or the second dose less than six months ago.
Attendees will also have to present a negative result of a PCR test taken within the past 48 hours.
