Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has requested residents to avoid using the Dubai Metro during peak times as they continue to carry out recovery efforts following the record-breaking rainfall in the UAE last week.
In a statement on social media, the authority advised residents to "use other means of public transport where possible, and to plan trips in advance".
Currently, the Red Line is operational in both directions but is not stopping at four stations: Onpassive, Equiti, Al Mashreq, and Energy.
The RTA also thanked all metro users for their cooperation and understanding, and advised to stay up to date with the latest developments on their official social media channels.
